Amanda's Pet Care is one of Arlington's newest pet care services, providing high quality Dog Walking and Pet Sitting for busy pet owners in the area. Our most popular services include Mid-Day Dog Walks, Cat-Sitting, and our unique Puppy Walk Program™. We offer a variety of other pet care services, all of which are customized to meet each pet owner's specific needs.
At Amanda's Pet Care we are dedicated to providing the best care for your pets, just as you would. We work closely with each of our clients, staying informed of their pet's care and any changes in their routine. Our clients value the reliable, personalized service we offer and our commitment to their pets. All of our clients' pets are treated as if they were our own.
Amanda's Pet Care is an active member of Pet Sitters International and several online professional pet-sitting groups. We are fully insured and bonded through Business Insurers of the Carolinas. We are also certified in Pet First Aid by the American Red Cross.

About Amanda
Amanda is a professional dog walker and pet sitter that has lived near Towers Park in Arlington since July 2004. Although Amanda has lived in the area for only a short time, she plans on making Arlington her home and becoming an increasingly active member of the community in her neighborhood and Arlington County.
Amanda moved to Arlington from the Boston area, where she grew up. Amanda has always had a love for all animals and that is reflected in her experience. She has over seven years of experience with all sorts of animals. She has worked for Zoo New England, the New England Aquarium, and Boston Pet Sitters. She also provided dog-sitting services for friends and family members through high school and college. Amanda has always felt “at-home” while working with animals.
While working at Zoo New England and the New England Aquarium. Amanda gained experience working with many different types of animals such as goats, black bears, sea urchins, and even sea stars (star-fish). At Zoo New England, Amanda was solely responsible for the care of four, four-month old baby goats. In addition to caring for the goats, Amanda was responsible for assisting the senior keeper of the black bear exhibit when needed. At the New England Aquarium, Amanda worked at many exhibits including the Edge of the Sea exhibit, a hands-on touch tank in which visitors could pick up and touch sea urchins, sea stars, hermit crabs, and horseshoe crabs. She was responsible for educating visitors about the animals and the proper way to handle them. In addition, Amanda was responsible for monitoring the animal's condition and alerting the veterinary staff if any of the animals were sick or injured. Amanda's experiences working at Zoo New England and the New England Aquarium greatly reinforced her desire to continue her career in the animal care field.
Before starting Amanda's Pet Care, Amanda's most recent animal experience was as a dog walker and pet sitter for Boston Pet Sitters, the only pet service voted Best of Boston® for two years. While working at Boston Pet Sitters, Amanda was committed to providing the best service for the pets in her care and loved every minute of it! Whether it was 100 degrees outside, 40 below with the wind chill, raining or even snowing, Amanda was always there for the pets in her care because she truly enjoyed what she was doing.
It was during this experience that Amanda envisioned starting a pet care company of her own. After many months of hard work and dedication, Amanda's Pet Care is the result of that vision.
